The New Port Project comprises the construction of a new world class inland port connected to the sea and existing navigation channel by a new dredged channel. The construction of the port is scheduled for completion in 2016. The port includes terminals for containers, general cargo, bulk grain, vehicles and offshore support operations and a facility for the Qatar Coast Guard.
The scope of this Package shall consist of the following:
Construction of the Commercial Terminals and the internal roads network including all pavements, services, pump stations for foul water, potable and fire fighting water supply, foul water and stormwater collection system, electrical sub-stations, telecommunications and associated networks designed by the Employer.
Fifteen (15) buildings located on the Commercial Terminals will be executed on a Design and Construct basis from design briefs and performance specifications issued by the Employer.
