Design & Construction of Lateral Interceptor Sewers (LIS 03) C727/3
Mesaieed Industrial City LIS A.
The Works, comprises the design, execution, completion and remediation of defects of the following works:
1. Approximately 16,400 m of 1600 mm internal diameter (ID) gravity sewer.
2. A discharge chamber and vortex drop into the shaft at the head of the sewer at Mesaieed Industrial City STW (provisionally denoted as Shaft SH9/36), to accommodate three rising main diversions. The scope includes diversion of three (3) existing rising mains to a new discharge chamber, including pipe, fittings, valves, thrust block and associated valve chambers.
3. Connection of the LIS to MTS shaft AS12 (shaft constructed by an interfacing Third Party)
4. Gravity sewer connection points, for future connection of local sewers constructed by a Third Party, at the following approximate locations: a. Shaft SH9/19 – 1200 mm ID, soffit to soffit connection b. Shaft SH9/6 – 600 mm ID, backdrop connection c. Shaft SH9/10 – 600 mm ID, backdrop connection d. Shaft SH9/17 – 600 mm ID, backdrop connection e. Shaft SH9/21 – 600 mm ID, backdrop connection Shaft identifiers are subject to the Contractor’s final design
5. Temporary shafts and permanent manholes, the number required is subject to final design.
Utility Corridor LIS A. The Works, as detailed in Schedule A [Project Brief] comprises the design, execution, completion and remediation of defects of the following works:
1. Approximately 5km of 1600mm internal diameter (ID) gravity sewer
2. Connection of the LIS to MTS shaft WS5 (shaft constructed by a Interfacing Third Party)
3. Gravity sewer connection points (stub outs), for future connection of local sewers constructed by a Third Party, at the following approximate locations: a. Shaft SH7/75 – 1200mm ID soffit to soffit stub out connection b. Shaft SH7/79 – 1400mm ID soffit to soffit stub out connection
4. Temporary shafts and permanent manholes, the number required is subject to final design.
